Eagle Peak Media, Baltimore

On the way down to Baltimore yesterday, we refined the broad shape of the new multi-media company we are forming, and, after several tries with other names, came up with one Dave and I and Jeff Toste really like -- and this time, will stick to. Welcome to Eagle Peak Media, or EPM. Dave came up with the name, after the road on which I live -- and the place (my house) where some of the earliest discussions that led to ON THE LAKE and now Eagle Peak Media occurred. But it was the ring of the name, not nostalgia, that led us to choose it. We already had our tagline (Film. Web. Words.) and our slogan (Story is our passion.©) Now we have the right name, a domain name (www.EaglePeakMedia.com) soon to be our central web site, and an umbrella into which we can wrap all of our many projects, present and future. Details will be forthcoming.

The interview, meanwhile, was outstanding -- one of our best. Dr. Chaisson will not only have a large role in the movie but also the trailer, due soon. I saw the rough cut and heard the score for the first time on that train, and they blew me away. This is some high-octane stuff. Now, as for the train itself, let me say that while the ride down was good, halfway back it had become what Yolanda predicted: excrutiating. Just too long and boring, but we made it...
